Beginning at age 10, I was groomed and sexually abused by my best friend’s step uncle. I was not his only victim. 

In fact, I was a witness to the sexual abuse of other children as well, at the hands of this predator.

My parents were always extremely careful and protective of my siblings and I and this predator worked his sick ways to be-friend my parents, earn their trust, & become very close with my family. 

The nightmare continued for what seemed like decades. The years of sexual abuse I endured as a very naive, innocent, sheltered child flipped my whole entire world upside and destroyed me in so many ways. 

I was at war with myself daily, hating myself internally for years, trying to block out what had happened to me. I finally began to open up what had happened to me YEARS ago, after a failed suicide attempt at age 28. 

I am now 30 years old and I’ve been on the path to healing and the fight for justice ever since.
