Why I created this movement

THE STORY BEHIND
SOMETHING TO SAY

Back in 2019, I began to reflect on my journey, and on the journey I had been on speaking about what I went through as a child.

I saw that as I talked about it more, I grew in confidence, and the fear of saying something began to reduce.

That realisation, that reflection, inspired me to create a platform for others to share their story too, if they wished.

That is where Something to Say was born.

It is now a place of community where the content shared is varied and includes people’s stories, questions designed to spark conversation, research and statistics, and more recently, a YouTube channel and podcast.

Myself and the team believe that this can become a household name and a driving force in raising awareness around a horrific crime that continues to happen in people’s childhoods.
