Pamela Armitage

I’m a self defense teacher and trauma educator. I teach internationally but most clients are high school girls aged 14-18 within 70+ different schools in eastern Canada.

In a 5-year period between me and my husband, Rich, we have had 40 girls reveal that they experienced some sort of abuse or were currently going through abuse.

This brave act has helped them get the help they need and remove them from the people hurting them. Only 2 of these girls experienced stranger violence. The rest was family or close to them in some way.

We have seen firsthand the power of what we teach, how it provides hope, confidence and life skills to keep themselves happy and safe. I have so many incredible survivor stories!

We created a FREE online resources www.studyofviolence.com with free courses on prevention and defense to make the basics of this powerful information accessible to all in the hopes it will continue to prevent violence and foster healing.

I also created a trauma informed/sensitive teaching program specifically for self defense teachers. My CPTSD, my late sister’s story is what brought me to this purpose driven life.

I will continue to shine light on trauma, prevention and healing!
