Neil Milton - Something to say

Neil Milton

When I was in primary school I struggled to make friends. I was alone all the time except when I played sport. I was always invited into groups then cause I was good at sport.

However there was a guy about 18 months older than me who saw my status and decided to befriend me.

But what was weird is that he would shun me in school but outside of school he would be all over me.

We played games, and had fun… or so I thought. One day the game ended with him on top of me and I couldn’t move. He was a big boy.

I felt uncomfortable and worried. But I needed a friend.

Then each time we caught up he was always on top of me and then it turned to every recess and lunch in the boys toilets at school but this time without clothes on.

I did speak up but they just said ” oh you are just experimenting” the abuse went on for another two years.

I just want to say, if someone comes to you and discloses that they might be being abused.

Listen, believe and help. I wish that person did for me.
