Oliver Hunter - Something to say

Oliver Hunter

I was abused through a man introduced to me through my parents church.

My father had died 2 years previously so there was no male around, perfect.

Initially it was made out he would mentor me but that was the least of his concerns.

From the off he was touching me and endless sex talk especially that I was more than likely gay.

I was able to repeal this so he resorted to violence which scared me to the stage where he could do as he pleased.

This lasted for 2 years.

I moved to London one morning, I had to.

Years of addiction and bad choices followed before I got clean and sober and an ex pushed me into therapy.

It returned earlier this year when I found out he had died but I am processing this.

Sadly the two people I told of the abuse didn’t believe me and this is why finding a place where you have a voice and trust is so important to move into a place of recovery and being a survivor, we are not alone.
