breaking the silence
TOGETHER WE CAN
CHANGE THE NARRATIVE
A real life story told by the person who lived it
My name is Jeremy Indika and I speak to teenagers, adults and professionals to encourage and inspire a conversation around the challenging topic of sexual abuse.
My presentation is interactive, thought-provoking and covers a variety of areas such as, the grooming process, speaking out and building a successful life.
I use storytelling, video and Q&A to take the audience on a journey, that your usual classroom environments and training courses do not cover.
"My son was one of the Year 7 children you spoke to. When he came home, he told me about your visit and your story. He said he “clapped hard” for you and he was inspired by what you were telling him and that he learnt a lot from your talk”
“I booked Jeremy to speak at our Safeguarding training on our September Inset day for our whole school body. The impact on our staff was huge, with many of them stating it was some of the best training they have ever had!”
I’m a student from the school you spoke at, I certainly found your talk enlightening and a step up from the usual lesson on this topic. Thanks for giving your presentation at our school, you were inspiring to listen to and I learnt a lot!”
“Jeremy captivated 1250 students at our school and this is something that everyone up and down the country needs to hear. But please don't be fearful. Our students are now more aware”
"Jeremy recently visited two of our foster parent forums and we would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Jeremy for his remarkable contributions to this event. His ability to inspire and educate with such honesty and bravery is truly commendable."
